Get To Know an Experienced Veterinarian
Dr. Magda Massicotte is a dedicated veterinarian whose focus is on alternative medicine. She grew up in Montreal, Canada and knew she wanted to be a veterinarian at a very young age. In 2004, she graduated from the University of Montreal with a degree in Veterinary Medicine.
New Endeavors
Tired of the long, cold winters in Canada, Dr. Massicotte moved to Arizona with her husband to treat small animals in the Phoenix area. She loved practicing veterinary medicine and focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Expanding Her Horizons
There were times when traditional western medicine wasn’t enough to help Dr. Massicotte’s patients. This is why, after several years of practice, she became more and more curious about alternative therapeutic options. She was fortunate to work with a fellow veterinarian who introduced her to pet acupuncture and was impressed with its healing power.
Making a Transition
In 2014, Dr. Massicotte completed her veterinary acupuncture training with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and then got certified to practice. She found that the traditional Chinese medicine approach, which involves a balanced lifestyle and diet, reflects the way she cares for her own pets and family.
She was happy to be able to use acupuncture, cold laser, herbs, and food counseling to help her patients. With her integrated approach, animals were able to maintain wellness and heal their bodies when conventional treatments are just not enough.
Our Core Values
Acupuncture for Pets in Arizona originates from the desire to offer alternative therapeutic options to pet owners who are seeking a more holistic approach towards healing.
